Sadio Mané's move to Bayern Munich caused quite a stir this summer.
Ex-Bayer Jérôme Boateng has a clear opinion on the transfer.
Munich – The new season is constantly approaching.
For Sadio Mané it will be his first season in the Bundesliga.
In the offensive of FC Bayern Munich, the Senegalese should make the departure of Robert Lewandowski (FC Barcelona) forgotten.
In order to start ideally in the new dress, Mané apparently works extra shifts.
Because: Both the 30-year-old and defensive newcomer Matthijs de Ligt completed an extra shift on Säbener Straße on Monday, which was actually a training-free day.
Mané, in particular, has a few flight miles to his bones after being voted Africa's footballer of the year.
He traveled from the USA to Morocco and then back to Munich for the gala.
Sadio Mané is "absolutely world class": Boateng raves about the new Bayern star
A former FCB star also likes the fact that Mané is now part of the Bayern squad.
"A great guy and an absolute win for FC Bayern.
A winner and a really great footballer,” enthused Jérôme Boateng in an interview with
kicker
.
He is certain: “The fans will have a lot of fun.
He is incredibly strong on the ball, agile, very dangerous, fast and physically strong.
An absolute world-class player.”
Boateng laced up his football boots for FC Bayern himself for ten years before moving to Olympique Lyon in the summer of 2021.
He and Mané met during private pre-season training in Mallorca.
Why Hernández is so impressed with Mané
Lucas Hernández has now sung similar hymns of praise for Mané.
“He really impressed us, not only in training.
He's an incredibly modest and friendly guy who integrated very well with us within a few days," emphasized the defensive star at
Sport1
.
With so much praise, it's hardly surprising that the promised person seems to feel very comfortable in Munich.
Mané
recently described his move to Bayern to
BBC Sport Africa as the "best decision of my career".
And: "I can hardly wait for the start of the new season."
Already on Tuesday (July 26th) Nagelsmann is asking his stars to return to training.
The DFL Supercup against RB Leipzig is already on Saturday.
It will also be the first indicator for Mané.
