Finally the annual general meeting of SC Freising could take place again under "normal" conditions.

The board of directors has been significantly rejuvenated.

Freising

– The sports club Freising 1919 eV survived the pandemic without any significant loss of members and at the annual general meeting last Friday completed a generational change in the board of directors.

The outgoing Treasurer Winfried Heldner warned of sharply increasing expenses and was made an honorary member on his departure.

SC Freising: budget planning still sewn on edge

The chairman Dieter Hillenbrand was able to welcome almost 40 members to the SC clubhouse for the annual general meeting.

“Finally again personally,” as he said, because the past two Corona years have not been easy, especially for indoor athletes.

The number of members will be higher in 2022 than before Corona.

Hillenbrand is worried about the constantly rising costs for the club, especially the hall fees are a thorn in the side of him and SC treasurer Winfried Heldner.

Despite the increase in contributions from 2020, it is already foreseeable that budget planning is still sewn on edge, larger projects are hardly manageable and further adversity is threatening due to rising energy prices.

Keeping this in mind is the task of his successor, Susanne Limmer, according to Heldner, who left office after 34 years and was given a standing ovation after his last cash report.

The reports from the departments made it clear that in handball and volleyball Corona has completely messed up the game plan in the past two years.

The boxers don't have enough space - the greatest wish would be a permanent training facility with a permanently constructed ring.

There was a changing of the guard among footballers before the pandemic.

This was mentioned again as no AGMs could be held in recent years.

Ludwig Groß retired as head of department – a young trio with Erik Hillenbrand, Rene Kaiser and Marc Hillenbrand took over.

SC Freising: ice sports department closes - third tennis court is to be realized

The activities of the ice sports department are literally on ice at the moment.

Both department heads resigned there in November, and it was decided to withdraw from BEV operations and only be active in our spare time.

Despite the pandemic, the tennis department has been able to play with two teams since 2022.

Some women have now also started training, and youth training is being planned.

This is one of the reasons why the tennis department would like to realize a third place on their own, but the city has yet to make a decision.

SC chairman Dieter Hillenbrand - re-elected by the meeting as club boss - promised to follow up there.

Apart from the old and new SC boss, all other members of the board are female and the average age was lowered by the newcomers Amelie Forkel (youth leader) and Martina Martin (club youth spokeswoman) after the departure of Ingrid Schuhbauer and Winfried Heldner.

Former treasurer Heldner was made an honorary member along with Rudi Leeb (boxing), Josef Seidenberger (ice sports) and Walter Mair (ice sports).

In addition, 33 SC club members were awarded honorary pins for long-term loyalty.
