Big extended at EV Moosburg - new division makes the state league stronger

EV Moosburg can count on the services of attacker Stefan Groß for another season.

The state league should become even more exciting with the new division.

– Stefan Groß will also be chasing goals for the regional league club EV Moosburg in the coming season.

For the 25-year-old, who formed the front row with Daniel Schander and Miloslav Horava last season, it is the fourth season in the green and yellow dress.

Born in Straubing, he learned how to play ice hockey in Gäubodenstadt and was then active in the U18s for Deggendorf and EV Landshut.

In the senior division he came to the EVM after short detours to the Black Hawks Passau and the Erding Gladiators.

Under new coach Benoit Doucet, the striker is expected to increase his goal tally.

That will also be necessary, because the preliminary round group of the Moosburgers has it all.

As the Bavarian Ice Sports Association (BEV) has now announced, the preliminary round will again be played with two groups of ten teams from October 7th.

The EVM has to deal with many old acquaintances and some new opponents.

After the rise of EV Pegnitz and the voluntary withdrawal of the Black Bears Freising, Group A of the Moosburgers was filled with Wanderers Germering and EV Fürstenfeldbruck from Group B.

In terms of paper form, this is an improvement, because last season Germering won the preliminary round group B and Fürstenfeldbruck finished fourth.

Also new in Group A is the climber from ERSC Ottobrunn.

In return, TSV Trostberg is moving to Group B, where the second climber from Sonthofen is also starting as a newcomer.

The 18 preliminary round match days should be completed by the end of the year so that the intermediate rounds can begin on January 6th.

In the promotion round, the four first-placed teams in each of the two preliminary round groups then meet in the first and second leg.

In the relegation round, places five to ten in the group face the bottom six teams in the other season.

The preliminary round results against the teams in your own group are taken with you.

In the playoffs starting March 3, the top four teams in the promotion round will play for a place in the Bayernliga.

Places nine to twelve in the relegation round determine in a best-of-three series who has to go to the district league.
