The summer break is over and football is starting up again: Traditionally, the German professional clubs first have to live up to their role as favorites in the DFB Cup, and the 60th Bundesliga season begins a week later on August 5th.
The Champions League, in which five German teams are competing for the first time this season, will start in early September in view of the upcoming Winter World Cup in Qatar (November 21 to December 18).
But who is broadcasting the many games live?
With Dazn, Sky and Amazon Prime, three pay-TV channels have secured broadcasting rights.
Sat.1 also shows selected games.
And what about ARD and ZDF?
We give an overview.
Bundesliga
If you want to see all matches of the 60th Bundesliga season live, you need both a Sky and a Dazn subscription.

Sky

In the event that you do not want to miss a game in the 1st division, Sky offers a combination offer: for 38.99 euros per month you can access both Sky and Dazn offers.
However, if you are only interested in the
2nd Bundesliga
, a
Sky
subscription will suffice.
On Friday evening (from 6.30 p.m.), Saturday noon (from 1 p.m.) and Sunday noon (from 1.30 p.m.), the pay-TV broadcaster will broadcast all games individually and in the conference.
If you want to do without the offers entirely, you can watch the highlights of all Saturday games in the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga from 6.30 p.m. on the
ARD
sports show.
A detailed summary of the Bundesliga top game (6.30 p.m.) runs in the ZDF sports studio.
There is also full coverage of the 3rd league: Deutsche Telekom currently holds the rights until mid-2023 in the pay area, which shows all games for its customers on
MagentaSport
.
In addition, 86 games will be broadcast on the regional ARD channels (BR, HR, MDR, NDR, RBB, SR, SWR, WDR).
DFB Cup
Who follows RB Leipzig?

The final will take place on June 3rd in the Berlin Olympic Stadium.
If you want to see all 63 games live, a

Sport1 will show one game per round live.

Five German teams are represented with FC Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Bayer Leverkusen and Eintracht Frankfurt.
The interest should be all the greater.

Before that, the play-offs will take place from August 18th to 25th to determine the participants of the group stage.

and

RTL Nitro
, that is not certain.
