Fans give Dybala a frenetic welcome in Rome

If you didn't know better, you'd think AS Roma just won the Italian league title.

Only one access was presented on Monday evening, albeit a prominent one.

Argentina international Paulo Dybala presented himself to the fans for the first time - and was enthusiastically applauded.

Dybala was visibly moved by the reception.

The 28-year-old attacker has signed a three-year contract with Roma and is set to help star coach José Mourinho's side clinch their first league title since 2011.

"Mourinho called me, I'm here to win," Dybala said, according to the Ansa news agency.

Suárez returns home

Uruguay's national hero Luis Suárez returns to his first professional club.

The 35-year-old, currently without a club after a stint with Atletico Madrid, announced via Twitter on Tuesday that he had reached an agreement with Nacional Montevideo.

He made his professional debut in 2005 with the 48-time Uruguayan champions.

After FC Groningen and Ajax Amsterdam, Suárez rose to become one of the most dangerous strikers in the world at Liverpool FC (2011-2014), then he had a very successful time at FC Barcelona (2014-2022), with whom he won the Champions League and 2015 won the Club World Cup.

In 2020, Uruguay's record goalscorer went to Atletico.

Recently there were reports that Suárez had been offered to Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund as a replacement for the seriously ill Sebastien Haller (testicular tumor).

Wolfsburg sell right-back Mbabu to England

Swiss national player Kevin Mbabu is moving from Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg to English Premier League promoted FC Fulham.

Both clubs announced this on Wednesday.

"Kevin is a player we've been following for several years," said Fulham co-owner and vice-president Tony Khan.

"In addition to his great experience, he brings great physical qualities to our club.

And he's determined to prove himself in the Premier League."

The 27-year-old right-back came to Wolfsburg from Young Boys Bern in 2019.

VfL would like to further reduce its large squad this summer.

That's why the midfielder Elvis Rexhbecaj is about to move to FC Augsburg, according to information from "Bild".

After signing Mbabu, Fulham FC are still trying to attract German national goalkeeper Bernd Leno from Arsenal FC.

The clubs did not provide any information about the transfer fee.

According to various media reports, Fulham transfers between six and eight million euros to Wolfsburg.

Singh extends at Bayern and stays at Regensburg

SSV Jahn Regensburg brings back offensive player Sarpreet Singh.

FC Bayern Munich has prematurely extended the contract with the 23-year-old New Zealander until the summer of 2024 and has again loaned him to the second division club from the Upper Palatinate for the coming season.

Singh had already been in action for Regensburg last season.

According to Jahn, he scored five goals in 25 games on Wednesday and set up eight more assists before a pubic bone injury slowed him down at the end of the season.

Leipzig deals with Werner

Bundesliga club RB Leipzig is apparently interested in a return campaign from Timo Werner.

According to information from the "Leipziger Volkszeitung", club boss Oliver Mintzlaff has been in contact with the German international for a long time, who no longer feels comfortable at Chelsea.

The "kicker" also confirmed an "advance" by the club.

Werner came to the Saxons from VfB Stuttgart in 2016 and scored 93 goals in 158 competitive games for RB.

In 2020 he went to Chelsea for around 53 million euros.

It is unclear whether RB will actually enter a bidding war - according to English media reports Newcastle United and Juventus Turin are allegedly interested in Werner - even if English newspapers are already reporting on alleged negotiations between Chelsea and RB regarding a loan deal.

This is supported by the fact that Mintzlaff is directly involved, as is the case with all particularly important personnel decisions.

On the other hand, RB has never paid a transfer fee of more than 30 million euros for a player and Werner would significantly exceed the Leipzig salary structure after his trip to England.

Werner is no longer a regular player under Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel.

However, the native of Stuttgart has his sights set on participating in the World Cup and needs match practice for that.

Finally, Werner said he could "be happy anywhere."

Coach Tuchel reacted with little enthusiasm.

"I'm surprised.

I would be one of the happiest people in the world if I were a young guy with a contract at Chelsea," he said on Chelsea's trip to the United States.
