Milton Keynes - Almost a hundred kilometers northwest of the final in London, the German women's national team will meet the French team in today's semi-final at 9 p.m.
On Tuesday, the hosts from England defeated Sweden with a clear 4:0, on Wednesday evening the second opponent in the final will be played.
DFB women without Klara Bühl against France: striker Alexandra Popp will probably start
With 11:0 goals from the previous four European Championship games, the German team can go into the semi-finals with a lot of self-confidence.
The only flaw is the absence of Klara Bühl due to the corona, but the DFB women brought a lot of offensive quality to England.
So hopes will rest on the experienced Wolfsburg attacker Alexandra Popp.
"I think Alex Popp's performance at this tournament speaks for itself," said national coach Martina Voss-Tecklenburg.

The recovered striker Lea Schüller from FC Bayern and Jule Brand could also be options in attack.
Voss-Tecklenburg particularly praised Bundesliga top scorer Schüller.
"She's fantastic in training," said the national coach to the 24-year-old.
It is unlikely that 19-year-old Brand from Wolfsburg will play from the start, given her previous appearances.
Voss-Tecklenburg will need their most well-rehearsed offensive on Wednesday evening.

On the way to Wembley, however, the German women have to pass the strong French women.
In the group stage they already won the group before the Belgians after two matchdays.
The 1-1 draw against Iceland on matchday three shouldn't deceive, after all, the French team is currently number three in the FIFA world rankings, while Germany is fifth.
The star ensemble, which is adorned with numerous players from Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique Lyon, defeated the holders with the Netherlands in the quarter-finals and will leave no stone unturned against Germany.
