Nine years after Neymar moved from Brazil to Barcelona, the footballer is on trial for alleged irregularities surrounding his move to Spain.
In a years-long legal saga, the Brazilian defender who now plays for Paris Saint-Germain is accused of fraud and corruption.
The trial is scheduled to take place for two weeks starting on October 17, a month before the World Cup in Qatar.
At the same time, several other parties in the transaction are expected to stand trial.
Two former presidents of Barcelona, Josep Maria Bartomeu and Sandro Rossi, as well as Neymar's parents, will face the same charges, according to Spanish reports.
The lawsuit demands: a prison sentence of two years for Neymar and five years for Rousey, in addition to a fine of 8.4 million euros for Barcelona.
A passage with many dubious factors.

All those involved in the case have previously denied the allegations, made by the DIS investment fund, which claimed it was entitled to 40% of Neymar's transfer fee in 2013 when he left Brazilian club Santos.
DIS claimed that she received a much lower amount than she should have received, and this is because part of the transfer fee was hidden.
Neymar's expensive transfer fee has long been overshadowed by legal disputes.
A year ago, Barcelona reached an out-of-court settlement with the footballer regarding his transfer for 222 million euros to Paris Saint-Germain in 2017.
The club claimed at the time that the footballer should return millions of euros he received when he signed a new contract in 2016.
In another case involving the transfer of Neymar from Santos to Barcelona, the club was told to pay a fine of 5.5 million euros due to irregularities in the process.
