Chris Richards leaves FC Bayern for the Premier League and brings the German record champions a decent fee.
It is money that Munich urgently needs.
Munich – FC Bayern Munich is still preparing its squad for the coming season in the Bundesliga and the Champions League.
This Wednesday evening (July 27th), the German record champions announced the next departure this time.
Specifically: Chris Richards is moving to Crystal Palace in the English Premier League.

This means that the next personnel decision is before Bayern's Supercup at DFB Cup winners RB Leipzig this Saturday (8:30 p.m., here in the live ticker).
The American Richards switched from FC Dallas to the Munich campus in the summer of 2018 and was then never able to assert himself with the professionals.
In four years, he only made ten competitive appearances for the Bundesliga team.
The central defender scored four goals in 37 appearances for the second team. In 2020, the 22-year-old became champion of the 3rd division with the “little Bayern”.
It was now his great wish to assert himself in the Premiere League.
FCB sports director Hasan Salihamidzic
“Chris Richards came to the FC Bayern campus at the age of 18.
He showed his talent in his first year playing for our second team.
That's why we signed him from FC Dallas, and Chris then developed very well at his loan station in Hoffenheim," sports director Hasan Salihamidzic is quoted as saying on the club's website: "It was now his great wish to assert himself in the Premiere League .
We wanted to make that possible for him and we wish him all the best at Crystal Palace.” Crystal Palace is based in the British capital, and the “Eagles” finished twelfth last season.

Bayern had loaned Richards twice to 1899 Hoffenheim since February 2021.
According to
Kicker
, the Kraichgauer really wanted to sign the defender.
This project apparently failed due to the high transfer fee.
As the specialist magazine continues to write, the Londoners are transferring a base fee of twelve million euros to Säbener Straße in Munich.
Plus bonuses, the transfer fee could increase to up to 20 million euros.
FC Bayern: Munich get a high fee - but clearly negative transfer balance
It is money that Munich can urgently use after their transfer offensive in recent weeks.
If the transfer balance between summer 2019 and May 2022 was minus 194 million euros, after the Richards transfer, only this summer, it is already a proud minus 58.1 million euros (excluding possible bonuses).
