FC Bayern weakens the Bundesliga's main competitor BVB significantly.
Because: Dortmund's chief scout is said to be going to Munich.
Munich/Dortmund – It crackles and creaks between Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern Munich in the preparatory final sprint for the 2022/23 season in the Bundesliga.
At first, BVB managing director Hans-Joachim Watzke felt compelled to defend the 50+1 rule as the head of the supervisory board of the German Football League (DFL).
FC Bayern: Munich bring BVB chief scout Markus Pilawa
This regulation limits the influence of external investors in German football, insofar as at least 51 percent of the voting shares of an outsourced professional company must remain with the parent club.
But: That doesn't seem to suit everyone on Säbener Straße in Munich, which is why Honorary President Uli Hoeneß recently questioned 50+1 again.
After repeated announcements from Westphalia that BVB wanted to play for the championship again, Nick Salihamidzic, the son of Bayern's sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic, was carried away with a dig at Twitter.
What Dortmund boss Watzke did not leave uncommented and questioned the success of the Bavarian transfers.
Especially with the commitments of striker Sadio Mané (came from Liverpool) and central defender Matthijs de Ligt (came from Juventus Turin), the German Bundesliga record champions caused a stir not only nationally.

After bringing in a super talent in Mathys Tel (from Stade Rennes) and selling another player in Chris Richards (to Crystal Palace), Bayern have now apparently made a job in the Isar metropolis palatable for the next top player.

It would be a huge setback for the West Germans if scouting has always been their big plus in recent years.
They spotted players like Robert Lewandowski, Lucas Barrios or Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, while they went virtually unnoticed by other big clubs.

Markus Pilawa: He is supposed to work for Marco Neppe at FC Bayern
The 44-year-old Pilawa switched to BVB as a scout from VfL Bochum in 2012.
The contract of the head of scouting and analysis, who was an important employee of the new sports director Sebastian Kehl, actually dated until the summer of 2023. Pilawa should now instead work on the Säbener technical director Marco Neppe, the closest confidant of FCB sports director Hasan Salihamidzic transfer issues.
Does this contain new explosives between the two German football giants?
