Sabatin Patel announced today (Thursday) his retirement from Formula 1 at the end of the current 2022 season.
The four-time world champion, and the winner of 53 Grand Prix races, will sign a very glorious career in the world of racing when he is 35 years old.
The German announced on his private Instagram account: "I hereby announce my retirement from Formula 1 at the end of the 2022 season. I should probably start with a long list of thanks, but I think it is more important to explain the reasons that led me to make this decision. I love this sport. It's been the center of my life for as long as I can remember, but just as there's life on the horizon, there's my life off track."
