The beautiful face of Israeli sports: hundreds of people mobilized in the crowdfunding project that was opened especially for the former sailor • As I recall, last night, Red Buskila revealed details about her friend's difficult health condition: "She is almost gone, she is getting smaller, little by little in body and soul, the pain is gnawing at her "

A day after Vared Buskila's emotional post about the medical condition of her best friend Lee Korzitz, which affects her day-to-day functioning and led to a deterioration in her condition, hundreds of people rallied and donated hundreds of thousands of shekels in the special crowdfunding project opened for her.

In the project, which was reopened on the giveback website, 320 thousand NIS have been raised so far, by 646 different donors, while the set goal is 700 thousand NIS, which they are trying to raise in the coming week.

"We all know Lee Korzitz as the world champion in windsurfing, one who devoured the sea, represented Israel in the Olympic Games with honor and shattered glass ceilings when she won the world championships four times."

Written in the mass mobilization.

"For the past decade Lee has been dealing with a very difficult health condition and it is time to stand by her side and support her. Lee needs financial help to recover and get back to life.

Let's give her the support she so desperately needs

.

"

As I recall, in the post Buskila wrote: "Lee Korzitz is the best person I know. She has a heart of gold. Mountains of talent. Honesty and integrity, surprising gentleness and an extraordinary personality, truly inspiring. She will always come, the cleanest and always conquer. I I miss the days when she could be my friend. In recent years, I've mostly been her friend. Because she's almost gone. She's getting smaller and smaller. Little by little, she's getting smaller in body and soul. The pain is gnawing at her. I miss my friend."

Buskila also added: "Have you ever had something hurt in your body until you passed out from the pain? So it happened to me. More than once. It even happened to her the night before the most important sailing of her life at the Olympic Games in London 2012. Yes, the same games in which she went on the medal sailing with a silver medal in her hand And finally she finished seventh. Some remember her losing the Olympic medal, I remember her passing out from pain at night and going to the sea in the morning. A matter of perspective, apparently."

In addition, dozens of other sports people and athletes shared the post and some of them also decided to sell their items to help with the donation.
