What does the "dream Bundesliga" of German football fans look like?
The supporters sorted out five clubs in a vote - and replaced them with second and third division clubs.

The start of the Bundesliga is just around the corner. On Friday, August 5, Eintracht Frankfurt and FC Bayern Munich open the new season.
After a spectacular transfer phase at a number of clubs, a season is ahead that could bring many a surprise.
Especially at Borussia Dortmund one hopes to be able to keep the championship race exciting until the end.
With their big rival from the Isar, on the other hand, they are not only aiming for the eleventh championship trophy in a row - they are also among the favorites in the DFB Cup and in the Champions League after the blockbuster deals of Sadio Mané and Matthijs de Ligt.

In another ranking, however, Bayern don't do quite as well.
The record champions will be able to get over it, but the “Dream Bundesliga” is always interesting.

editor-in-chief Pit Gottschalk called on football fans to put together the ultimate Bundesliga.
You should choose your own personal 18 favorites from all 56 Bundesliga clubs so far - Bayern only came in eighth place with 87.0 percent in the first interim result, so not every supporter would include FCB in their selection.

Bundesliga: Dortmund and Gladbach indispensable for the majority of fans
The situation is different in the top six: Borussia dominates at the top - one from Dortmund (95.6 percent) and one from Mönchengladbach (94.9 percent).
A Bundesliga without these two traditional clubs is unthinkable for the majority of fans.
In addition, the more than 1,000 participants in the survey so far wish for the return of some of the clubs that have fallen to the top of the football league.

According to this, five current Bundesliga clubs would have to give way to make room for four second division clubs and one third division club: if the fans have their way, Hamburger SV, 1. FC Kaiserslautern, 1. FC Nürnberg, FC St. Pauli (all currently 2nd league) and TSV 1860 Munich (3rd league) again first class.
RB Leipzig, VfL Wolfsburg, TSG Hoffenheim, FC Augsburg and 1. FSV Mainz 05 would be out.
