Müller with special World Cup preparation: "I would also advise my team-mates"

The World Cup year is likely to be particularly strenuous for the national players.

Thomas Müller is therefore already making his teammates responsible.

Munich - The new season is just around the corner!

The current champions FC Bayern Munich and cup winners RB Leipzig will start on Saturday evening with the Supercup showdown.

A week later, the German upper house finally starts playing.

One thing is certain: it should be a very special season.

Because after the 15th matchday, the season will be interrupted for the biggest football event in the world: the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Müller already has the 2022 World Cup in mind: "Try to prepare even more meticulously and intensively for it"

So it's logical that the World Cup is already playing an important role in the national players' plans.

Many players will face the challenge of making the switch from club football to national team in November.

They won't have much time: The 15th Bundesliga matchday is scheduled for November 11th and 13th - the World Cup will start on November 21st.

“We will have a game rhythm that is perhaps unique, a world championship in the middle of the season.

I'm trying to prepare even more meticulously and intensively," reveals Bayern star Thomas Müller in an interview with

Bayern's intensive preparations, including the US tour with training, friendlies and numerous marketing events, should have brought the players up to speed.

With a long and exhausting season including the World Cup, the really strenuous part is still to come.

From September at the latest, when the games in the Champions League are added, the burden will be particularly high.

Müller, who had to remind a reporter in the USA about the World Cup this year, is also aware of this.

"From then on it's zack zack, it's games all the time.

If you want to be ready for it, then you need to prepare yourself accordingly.

Basically, I have always lived for my passions and also stand up for them.

World Cup 2022 could be Müller's last World Cup

It is not for nothing that those responsible at FC Bayern, led by Hasan Salihamidžić and Oliver Kahn, spent a lot of money this summer and strengthened the squad.

With the numerous new additions, the aim is to avoid the worst-case scenario, in which the players will already reach their limits in the fall.

But the stars themselves are also required to do this.

"In my opinion, in the coming months it is essential to give football an unprecedented priority in order to be able to perform at the club and at the DFB.

For me personally, one or the other in my private life will have to take a back seat.”

For Müller, who showed up earlier than expected at Bayern's start in training, the tournament in Qatar could be the last World Cup of his career.

After the disappointment of 2018, when Germany had to give up in the preliminary round in Russia, the DFB-Elf wants to attack again under the leadership of ex-FCB coach Hansi Flick.

In order to get enough sleep, Müller is willing to "go home first if there's a party somewhere".
