“We are often told that we are one and the same team from France, that there is only one Paris 2024. And there, we realize that no. The Olympics will have their opening ceremony on the Seine and us? Well we don't know. We feel aggrieved. ”,
regrets the French number 1 in wheelchair tennis.
Today, the OCOG plans to organize the ceremony of the Paralympic Games on the Place de la Concorde.
If the chosen location remains outdoors, the 15th player in the world criticizes the lack of inclusion sent with this decision:
“We must involve para athletes in the ceremony of the Olympic Games. If Paris 2024 wants to change the way people look at disability, to move things in terms of inclusion, the best way is for the Olympics and the Paralympics to form one and the same team from France”,
she concludes in his newspaper interview.
