Real Madrid beat Juventus Turin 2-0 in a friendly match at the legendary Rose Bowl in Los Angeles, California on Saturday, with goals from Karim Benzema and Marco Asensio.
Benzema thought to open the scoring in the eighth second, but Federico Valverde was offside at the start of the action.
The Frenchman had to wait until the 19th minute to score, converting a penalty obtained by Vinicius Jr, after a tackle from Danilo, a former Real player.
Asensio doubled the lead in the 69th minute, perfectly served by Jesus Vallejo in the box.
The Italian club did not target any shots of the meeting, showing that they are still in need of attackers, after the departures of Alvaro Morata, who returned to Atletico Madrid after his loan, and Paulo Dybala, who left free at AS Roma.
Juventus continue their pre-season with a game against their U-23 side on Thursday, before a clash against Atlético Madrid on August 7.
It was, however, the last preparation match for Real, which will start its season on August 10, playing the European Super Cup against Eintracht Frankfurt, in a replay of the legendary 1960 C1 final, won by Real. Madrid of Alfredo Di Stefano and Ferenc Puskas, with the score of 7-3.
