For the first time in history: England European women's champion Israel today

The women's team celebrated at Wembley with a dramatic 1:2 over Germany in the final and their first ever title. Chloe Kelly scored the dramatic goal in overtime


History in world football: for the first time since 1966, the England team wins a prestigious tournament.

This time it's the women's team that celebrated in a full and big Wembley stadium with a wonderful 1:2 in overtime over the German team.


56 years and exactly one day after the men's team did it at the expense of the Germans, the "Lionesses" finished a great tournament and beat the team that won the most European titles throughout history, including six European championships in the last seven tournaments.

The ladies are celebrating at Wembley tonight.


Ella Ton scored the first goal for the English in the 62nd minute, Lina Magol equalized for the Germans after 17 minutes and the game went to overtime.

The great pace continued and in the 110th minute Chloe Kelly had the last word after a mix-up in the box and sent the English to celebrate their first European Championship win.
