"Everyone is there, everyone is highly motivated - the season can begin," says Dorfen's sporting director Markus Wetzel before the game begins.

Dorfen – Since the TSV welcomes promoted TuS Raubling on Sunday at 2.30 p.m.

"The preparation was basically quite good, the results were good," Wetzel looks back on the friendlies.

Only the 1:5 defeat in Freising was a bit high.

"We were repeatedly thrown back in terms of personnel in preparation because players were always on vacation," says the sporting director, but at the same time understands that.

"Because of Corona, vacation trips were hardly possible in the last two years, but I think all clubs had to struggle with this problem." Wetzel also sees the whole thing quite relaxed because: "We have a broad squad."

Opponent Raubling was "a real surprise for him, so I didn't expect them to rise".

The TuS ran after the top for a long time, "and in the end they came first".

That shows that the team is right.

Wetzel knows: "They're really up for it." He took that from a conversation with TuS trainer Christoph Ewertz.

"We called because we wanted to move the game to Friday, but that didn't work with the Raublingers." It is possible, however, that TuS will come to Dorfen without their coach, because Ewertz has contracted the corona virus.

Anyway: TSV Dorfen has respect for the opponent.

"Raubling was in the district league in earlier years, and we played against them and we usually found it difficult," remembers Wetzel.

"But of course it's a completely different team now than it was then."

Luca Ziemba came from TSV Neubeuern, Lukas Wiedemann from TSV Rohrdorf-Thansau and Basti Unsin from ASV Flintsbach.

Dorfen's sporting director is not impressed.

“Only three points count for us,” states Wetzel.
