The Israeli swimming team will go to Rome early next week for the European Championships.
After the end of the Israel Championships, today (Monday) the final squad of the team for the championships was determined, numbering 17 female and male swimmers in the pool, joining the rosters of the open water team and the artistic swimming team that were completed earlier.
Those who set the criterion in the pool and secured their place even before the end of the week were Daria Golovati, Anastasia Gorbenko, Bar Soloveitchik, Leah Polonsky, Aviv Barzli, Ron Polonsky, Miron Haruti, David Gerchik, Denis Loktev, Chris Picchugin, Michael Leitrovsky and Yoav Romano.
They were joined during the championship by Eitan Ben Shatrit and Adam Maraena, after they had set the criterion.
Completing the squad are the two young swimmers Martin Kartabi and Anbar Danziger, who are going out as the two free tickets chosen by national team coach Ehud Segal thanks to their achievements in the European Youth Championships, as well as Daniel Namir who set a relay criterion in the 4x200 free relay.
Matan Roditi, Ava Fabian, Ziv Cohen and Orin Gavlan will take part in the Israeli open water team.
Adu Gal, who set the criterion and was part of the team throughout the year, is recovering from an injury and will not compete in Rome.
In the artistic swimming team, Maya Dorf, Shelly Bobritsky, Noy Gazela, Shani Shraizin, Ariel Nashi, Nicole Nakhshonov, Kati Kunin, Neta Robichak, Polina Prikazchikova and Avital Podkofiev will compete.
