Star rookie of the summer of 2021, three-quarters New Zealand international center Ngani Laumape has been released from his contract with Stade Français after just one year.
The two parties “agreed to put an end to their collaboration following the difficulties of family adaptation which Ngani told us about”, explained the French Stadium in a press release.

The 29-year-old, who has 15 caps, for eight tries, in the prestigious All Blacks jersey, arrived in Paris last summer from the Hurricanes (Super Rugby), preceded by a reputation as a demolisher.
But in 22 games in the pink jersey of Stade Français, the New Zealander has never really managed to forget the international tricolor Gaël Fickou, whom he was to replace in the center of the Parisian attack.
The capital club, in its brief press release, "thanks Ngani for this season and wishes him good luck for the rest of his career", which he should pursue in Japan.
