A victory for the league administration: the court of the basketball association today (Monday) rejected the petition of Maccabi Ramat Gan and announced that it will remain in the national league and will not qualify for the Premier League.
As you may remember, Ramat Gan, which finished in second place in the national league, asked to be announced as the second entrant to the senior league, but the court ruled that it was necessary to uphold the agreements established between the union and the administration.
Chen Schneiderman, chairman of Maccabi Ramat Gan, said in response to the decision: "We are saddened and disappointed by the decision which severely harms Maccabi Ramat Gan.
At the same time, we will check what are the other options available to us to change the decision and if there are any, we will act accordingly."
If there are no options, despite the great disappointment and great frustration, we will act according to the decision and try to build a quality and attractive team for the upcoming season in the national league and do everything we can to get the ticket to the Premier League at the end of the upcoming season.
It's a shame that the process was very slow and seemed like a drag, which seriously hurt us in organizing in all ways and aspects."
The administration stated: "The league administration thanks the court for honoring the agreement and wishes the team success in the future."
