The former Olympique Lyonnais coach succeeds Didier Ollé-Nicolle, who took charge of the women's section last season.

He had already been in post since the resumption of training on July 22, but his new adventure will finally be able to officially begin.

Paris Saint-Germain announced this Monday morning the arrival, as coach of its women's section, of Gérard Prêcheur (62).

The successor to Didier Ollé-Nicolle, who left PSG after a very eventful season on the bench of the women's section, has signed up until June 2023.

Paris Saint-Germain is very pleased to announce the arrival of Gérard Prêcheur as head of the women's section.

A pioneer in the development of women's football in France, Prêcheur was director of the France Women's division of the FFF between 2000 and 2004 and then between 2010 and 2014, with 6 years' experience at INF Clairefontaine in the meantime.

In 2014, he mainly took charge of the women's section of Olympique Lyonnais, PSG's great rival on the national and European scene, with which he won two Champions Leagues (2016, 2017), three titles of Champions of France (2015, 2016, 2017) and three French Cups (2015, 2016, 2017).

Since a brief experience in China, alongside his son at the head of Jiangsu Suning FC (2018-2019), Prêcheur was without a job.

"Being able to join a club as prestigious as Paris Saint-Germain is an exceptional opportunity," said Prêcheur.

I am very honored to have been chosen to start this new cycle and I thank the Club for its trust, starting with the President.

I am now impatient to start this new season.

Our team has very talented players and I believe we can achieve great things together.

As announced ten days ago, his staff will be made up of his son, Jocelyn Pêcheur (assistant coach), Guillaume Lemire (guardian coach), Guillaume Denis (physical trainer) and Quentin Bellu (assistant physical trainer).

The D1 Arkema will resume on Saturday September 10 for the Parisiennes, whose full schedule is not yet known.
