»Please give me your jersey«: More and more fans are bringing signs with such requests into the stadium. Not only children, but also adults. At least in Amsterdam that's the end of it.

The Dutch soccer record champions Ajax Amsterdam no longer want to allow cardboard boxes, sheets or signs in the stadium on which fans ask for the jerseys of the players.

That got completely out of hand, the club told the fan magazine "Ajax Life".

It all started with children in particular holding up posters they had written themselves, asking their favorite player for his shirt after the game.

There are now far too many of these signs to fulfill all wishes.

In addition, there are often no longer innocent children's wishes, writes "Ajax Life".

"The annoying thing is that some adults think that their offspring have the right to everything." And if a player then walks by without giving his shirt, then he is considered "arrogant".

In Germany, too, the signs are part of everyday life

The association regrets the disappointment of the children when they have to give up their signs.

But there has to be a limit somewhere.

Fire protection also plays a role, says the association.

After all, the mostly paper and cardboard signs are fire-sensitive, it is said.

In the meantime, these signs have also become established in German stadiums.

Many supporters of the organized fan scene are bothered by this.

The topic is also discussed again and again on social media.

Mainly because there are always adults in the stadium in search of a jersey for their favorite player.
