The left-back from FC Bayern wants to donate his bonus to charity.
Munich – When Alphonso Davies switched to Bayern Munich in January 2019, few would have believed that the nimble winger would develop in this way.
He came to Säbener Straße as an unknown youngster - and ultimately celebrated his breakthrough under Hansi Flick.
Davies is now a top performer, an absolute regular and one of the best left-backs in world football.
He won the treble with Bayern in 2020 and has won two more championships since then.
He was a Canadian international at the tender age of 16.

This winter, Davies will fulfill his next dream and take part in the 2022 World Cup with Canada.
Born in a refugee camp in Buduburam, Ghana, the now 21-year-old moved to Ontario, Canada, at the age of five.
His parents are originally from Liberia, but Davies has had Canadian citizenship for five years.
His background and his past are important to Davies, that becomes clear again and again.
Now the Bayern youngster is causing a stir with a special campaign: Davies wants to donate his entire World Cup bonus to charity!
"Canada welcomed me and my family and gave us the opportunity for a better life," he writes on Twitter: "It

has enabled me to live my dreams.
It's a great honor to play for Canada and I want to give something back so I've decided to donate this year's World Cup bounty to charity."

Reactions erupted on Twitter.
The tweet had almost 100,000 likes within a few hours.
"That's why he's the greatest," wrote a Twitter user under the Davies post.
"Big action," said another enthusiastically.
"What a man," wrote another user.
Davies is still under contract with FC Bayern in 2025.

he is the most expensive left-back in the world.
Its market value is 70 million euros.
He has played 116 games for Bayern Munich, scoring five goals and providing 19 assists.
