The new Barcelona striker, Robert Lewandowski, arrived yesterday (Tuesday) at Bayern Munich's offices, in the media where he played for the last eight seasons and said goodbye to his former friends during a short visit to Germany.
The Pole, who scored 344 goals for Bayern in 375 games during his eight years at the Allianz Arena, joined Barca in a deal worth €45 million last month after a long-running saga.
Bayern managers and Lewandowski publicly criticized each other after his official move to the Camp Nou, with the striker saying there was a lot of "politics" from Bayern which he said the striker had behaved well.
Bayern, for its part, said the situation was caused by the player who asked to leave even though he had a contract until 2023.
"Everything is fine," Lewandowski told Sky from his car before leaving the club's offices.
"I met everyone and thanked them. I will never forget what I got here and what I experienced. That's the most important thing for me. Last week was a little complicated but sometimes that's part of football."
Bayern's sporting director Hasan Salimichic spoke with Lewandowski during his short visit and they cleared the air.
"Robert came into my office to say goodbye and we talked for 15 minutes," said the Bosnian, "I addressed all the things and we cleared the table. Robert did great things for Bayern and that's what should be remembered. He also knows what he has to thank Bayern for."
Lewandowski won every title possible with Bayern, including eight Bundesliga titles, three cups, a Champions League title and the Club World Cup.
He is the second top scorer of all time in the German league after the late Gerd Müller.
