Dressage at a high level returns to Epfach

Nothing has worked in recent years because of Corona, but now it's that time again: From Friday on, dressage will take place at the Maier family's facility at a high level.
Epfach – Alexandra Maier is well prepared for her “home game”.
Before the two-day tournament at the local "Reitsportanlage Maier" near Epfach, the dressage rider recently put in a few fine rounds at Gut Kerschlach with "Majestix W".
In the Inter-I class, the duo got the silver loop - even though not everything went according to plan.
"You have to look at it with humor when it's still second place despite the spanked two," said the rider on "Instagram".
Despite the blunder in the canter changes, Maier and "Majestix W" achieved a whopping 68.3 percent.
Only one rider was better that day in the two-star advanced level test, who was recently appointed to the national squad and became Bavarian runner-up.
Romina Nieberle (LRFV Gennachtal) won on her successful horse "Free Willy" with 71.9 percent.
For the two-star test, the participants had to qualify in a Prix St. Georges (S*).
There Alexandra Maier and "Majestix W" convinced as fifth (68.8) among 26 couples.
Third place was only 2.5 points short.
Five tests in Epfach in the S class
The tournament in Epfach, which takes place from Friday, August 5th, up to and including Sunday, August 7th, also offers dressage at a high level.
Already on Friday it starts with a test of the difficult class.
The highlight on Saturday is the freestyle in the Prix St. Georges, which begins at 5:15 p.m.
At the grand finale on Sunday, an Inter-I stage awaits the spectators in the last stage of the weekend.
There are other competitions as well.
The program in Epfach comprises a total of nine tests.

For the physical well-being is provided.
The catering will be provided by the "Bachtaler" inn.
There are grilled and vegan dishes as well as salads;
everything with products from the region.
Coffee and cake, sandwiches and drinks are also available.
The tournament at the “Equestrian Sports Center Maier” has become a fixture.
In 2020 and 2021, however, it had to be canceled due to Corona and the resulting restrictions.
The team around Manuela and Alexandra Maier was there like many others who offer tournaments.
There were almost no competitions in the region.
The Maiers also used the time to carry out renovation work on the site.
There is now also a new lunging hall at the riding facility.
