Recruited to compensate for the departure to La Rochelle of Teddy Thomas, the Welshman suffered from a ruptured Achilles tendon.

This is a tile that the Altosequan club would have done well without.

The Welsh treiziste Regan Grace, who is due to join Racing 92 in the Top 14 at the end of the rugby league season in October, is indeed suffering from a ruptured Achilles tendon, announced Wednesday his current English club St Helens.

"He will be operated on in the next few days," his coach, Kristian Woolf, said in a statement.

"It's a really sad way to see him end (at St Helens)."

Scans have revealed that winger Regan Grace has sadly ruptured his Achilles ruling him out for the rest of the season, meaning he has played his last game for the Club.
