Dortmund allegedly on Depay
In the search for a replacement for striker Sébastien Haller, according to media reports, Borussia Dortmund is also looking around in Spain - and has an unusual solution in mind at first glance.
The Bundesliga club is interested in the Dutch national player Memphis Depay from FC Barcelona, the Catalan specialist newspaper "Sport" reported.
Depay is dangerous in goal, but not a classic center forward like Haller.
BVB have already made contact with the player's environment, but do not want to pay a transfer fee for the 28-year-old.
They want to get the professional, who has a contract with Barça until June 2023, on loan or sign them up permanently for free, it said.
The fact that FC Barcelona, which has a debt of 1.35 billion euros, says it has to sell players, speaks in favor of a change.
According to Spanish media, Depay feels very comfortable in Barcelona.
He insists on fulfilling his contract.
So far it has been said that Barcelona are ready to transfer Depay for around 20 million euros.
Numerous names have been traded in recent days as a replacement for BVB striker Haller, who is suffering from a tumor.
Professionals like Edinson Cavani, Edin Dzeko, Mauro Icardi, Giovanni Simeone, Krzysztof Piatek and Anthony Modeste are under discussion.
Juve probably offers twelve million euros for Frankfurt's Kostić
Italy's record champions Juventus have stepped up their efforts to sign attacking player Filip Kostić from Europa League winners Eintracht Frankfurt.
According to the Italian newspaper "Gazzetta dello Sport", the Turin team is offering twelve million euros plus bonuses to persuade the Serbs to sign a three-year contract.
However, West Ham United from the Premier League are also courting the 29-year-old.
Kostić's contract in Frankfurt expires in the summer of 2023.
He was named the best player in the 2021/22 Europa League season by the European Football Union (Uefa).
Schalke want Larsson son
Bundesliga promoted FC Schalke 04 is about to sign a striker with a prominent name.
According to consistent media reports, the son of former Swedish superstar Henrik Larsson, Jordan Larsson, will sign a contract with the Revierklub by the weekend.
The 25-year-old Swede could therefore already complete the medical check at Schalke on Friday.
This was reported on Thursday by "Bild" and Sport1, citing foreign sources.
Larsson last played on loan from Spartak Moscow for AIK Solna in his home country.
With his contract with Spartak, for which he failed to score in 17 games last season, being terminated, Larsson could join on a free transfer.

Defensive talent for Hoffenheim
Bundesliga team TSG Hoffenheim continues to strengthen its defense.
The Kraichgauer have signed central defender Eduardo Quaresma.
The 20-year-old Portuguese comes to Hoffenheim from Sporting Lisbon for a season on loan.
TSG also has a purchase option for the U21 international.
“We announced towards the end of last season that we had to improve our defensive behavior and were actively looking for reinforcements.
David Raum's transfer gave us the necessary leeway, so after Ozan Kabak and Stanley Nsoki in Eduardo Quaresma we now have another exciting option in the squad," said sporting director Alexander Rosen.
