2022-08-04T08:42:05.649Z

After Barcelona president Joan Laporta and his coach Xavi, it was Cesc Fabregas, former teammate of Lionel Messi, who publicly

He played with Lionel Messi for three years.

Former Barcelona Cesc Fabregas did not hide his desire to see the Parisian striker return to Catalonia.

Having just left Monaco to sign for Como, in the Italian second division, the 2010 world champion was the guest of Spanish radio COPE.

The midfielder did not miss the opportunity to speak publicly about the future of his ex-teammate Lionel Messi.

"As a Barca fan, I hope and wish that (Lionel) Messi comes back to Barcelona.

He has one year left in Paris.

I would love.

It's a dream that the club and all the fans have.

I speak to you as a fan,” he said on the show El Partidazo.

But it is not only as a supporter that Cesc Fabregas remains in contact with FC Barcelona.

The Spaniard also said he tried to play an active role in the club's transfer window, trying to bring in Aurélien Tchouaméni.

Xavi and Laporta are also hoping for a comeback

“I know (Aurélien) Tchouaméni very well.

I spoke with people from Barca to recruit him.

He is a player for the future, but economically, they could not recruit him, he said.

Finally, it was at Real Madrid that the French international signed up, with whom Cesc Fabregas played in Monaco.

If the 35-year-old midfielder therefore hopes for a return of Lionel Messi to Barça, he is not the only one to have spoken on the subject.

Before him, Joan Laporta also mentioned the Argentinian.

"As president, I feel like I have a moral debt to him, to give him the best time of his career, or else give him a better time for the end of his career.

I think we can get there.

We aspire to it, in any case: my intention with Leo is clear, ”said the Barça leader to the New York Times.

Xavi, the Blaugrana coach and iconic former teammate of Lionel Messi, is also hoping for a return of the seven-time Ballon d'Or.

"I think he deserves a second stage here," he said at a press conference.

Whatever the future of the Parisian player, we will have to wait until next summer for any possible movement.

Lionel Messi's contract with PSG runs until the end of the season.
