SV-Bad-Tölz coach Daniel Heidemann has a clear goal for the season: fourth place in the preliminary round and six bonus points for the relegation round.

Bad Tölz

– Last season coach Daniel Heidemann saw it as his most important task to form a real unit out of the first team of SV Bad Tölz.

The fact that the eighth place in the final table of district class 2 jumped out was of secondary importance for the coach.

After the winter break, the coach thought he had reached his goal.

"It was becoming increasingly clear that we were coming together, and the processes were also getting better and better," says Heidemann.

It also helped that he was able to send an identical line-up onto the field more often.

Personnel situation has improved

In terms of personnel, the coach even sees a somewhat improved situation in the game year that is now beginning.

Although the Torgarant is no longer available after Toni Bernwieser's career end, the returnees Benni Norrenberg and Simon Essendorfer, as well as Maxi Kühnhauser, have already proven their accuracy on several occasions.

The squad is also complemented by A-Juniors Florian Dietl and Arslan Enes as well as Jürgen Pauli, Franz Dietl and Florian Nietzel.

The start of training was a bit bumpy with a 0:1 defeat at district league promoted SV Münsing.

Two wins against Rottach-Egern (3:2) and SF Oberau (4:1) followed.

And so the coach is now quite satisfied with what has been achieved, since the first game is scheduled for tomorrow, Friday.

He also agrees with the playing level of all parts of the team and is now happy that things are finally starting.

Promotion favorites are Geretsried teams

Heidemann also immediately names a clear goal: "I would like fourth place after the first round." According to the new system, his team would then have to play against relegation in the relegation round, but would already have six bonus points due to the place they had previously achieved fitted.

As a reminder, only the first three clubs from the first round play for promotion.

"The teams from the Geretsried area will probably work this out among themselves," the Tölz trainer suspects.

Heidemann cannot yet judge how strong the competition actually is.

In any case, he always expects a clear and courageous demeanor from his team.

A first taste would be possible on Friday, August 5, at the season opener in the home game against newly promoted ASC Geretsried.

The game starts at 7.30 p.m. in the sports park on the Flinthöhe.

Our tip:

Based on last year's season, it can be assumed that after a certain learning phase, the team has internalized the expectations of their coach.

No gain without diligence, and only together are we strong.

Two old wisdoms that are being implemented more and more.

Not only has the squad grown, the quality of the team has also improved.

The next step forward can be taken.

Of course, it might still be too early for the ascent.

However, the fourth place in the preliminary round can be achieved and then – with a few points as a reward – staying up in the class is certainly also possible.
