By dint of believing in it, Jean-Pierre Rivère managed to rewrite history and convince the Ineos group to repatriate Lucien Favre to the Côte d'Azur.
As a fine strategist, the president of Nice said all the good he thought of Christophe Galtier, from whom he intended to separate, to Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, his Parisian counterpart, with whom he has maintained a privileged bond for years.
Result: Nice attracted the coach he was aiming for and sold, for nearly eight million euros, the one who no longer stuck to his project.
