At a good and successful time and a week earlier than usual as a result of the World Cup games in the winter, the 2022/23 Premier League season kicked off with the meeting between Crystal Palace and Arsenal (live on Sport2).
Arsenal ended last season in a dismal way, with a loss to Tottenham in the derby and losing the fourth place that leads to the Champions League, but in the preparation for the season they certainly ignited the imagination.
Arsenal spent more money this summer than any other team in the world on acquisitions, no less than 132 million euros according to the publications in the addition of Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus and also in the signing of Fabio Vieira who is not yet eligible to join the team, unlike the defender and striker who moved from Manchester City.
He also joined Arsenal this summer.

In the last preparatory games, Arsenal ran over Chelsea 0:4 and Sevilla 0:6, with Jesus blazing with seven goals in five games.
As for the Arsenal lineup, Thomas Partey had a difficult summer, but he is in Arteta's midfield alongside Granit Xhaka and Gabriel in the center of defense alongside William Saliba, who is also making his official debut in the team, with Ben White on the right wing.
On the other hand, Patrick Vieira's Crystal Palace, one of the Arsenal stars in the club's peak years in the late nineties and early 2000s, managed to keep Wilfried Zaha, the team's undisputed star, this summer as well.
The team was joined by Chris Richards who came from Bayern Munich, who has not yet started in the lineup, and Sheiko Dokura who was purchased from Lance.
In April, in the last meeting between the two when Arsenal was still strong in the Champions League picture, they were defeated 3:0 by Crystal Palace and then lost their place in the top 4. In the first round of last season, the two parted in a 2:2 draw at the Emirates.
