FC Bayern plays against Eintracht Frankfurt at the start of the season.
Mario Götze will be there.
FCB coach Julian Nagelsmann knows and appreciates him very much.
Munich – Eintracht Frankfurt has a new attraction: Mario Götze (30).
The German World Cup winning goalscorer from 2014 moved from Eindhoven to Hesse in the summer - and has already taken the hearts of Frankfurt fans by storm.
Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann (34) also gets enthusiastic when he thinks of Götze.
Not just because of his football skills, as reported by tz.de.
FC Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann raves about Götze
"I like the guy very much.
We kept in touch from time to time, also during his time in Eindhoven.
We always wrote, he sent me several podcast links.
Especially about coaches and athletes from the US area.
He is a very intelligent, nice man," chatted Nagelsmann out of the box.
And from a sporting point of view?
Götze would have the great ability to recognize free spaces and let himself fall into it: “He can speed up the game well and has a good finish.
But the passive goal threat is extreme.”
Nagelsmann expects a difficult opening game against Frankfurt anyway.
The stadium will respond very phrenetically, whichever is the case.
In the run-up to the game, a statement by Eintracht President Peter Fischer caused a stir.
In an interview, he said: "Who the f*** is Mané?" Fischer later qualified his statement.
"This will be a party.
Everyone knows that I also have a great passion for Liverpool FC.
So, just for fun, I said in English: Who the hell is Mané?” Fischer explained afterwards.
