Robert Lewandowski is FC Barcelona's king transfer - but he is said not to be one of the top earners in the Catalans.
Barcelona – Despite the difficult financial situation, FC Barcelona made substantial purchases in the summer.
In addition to well-known players such as Raphinha or Jules Koundé, Robert Lewandowski remains the star among the newcomers.
It is logical that the ex-Munich native is one of the best-paid professionals in the Barça squad right away.
Or not?
A payroll appeared on the rather dubious portal
FC Barcelona Latest News
, which was also published
by the English tabloid
Sun.
According to this, Robert Lewandowski ranks only seventh with an annual salary of 10.6 million euros.
That would be less than half of the annual salary he received at Bayern Munich.
Robert Lewandowski seventh on payroll - top earner Dembélé
Barça President Joan Laporta announced months ago that the professionals would have to face salary cuts because of the club's high debt.
The club reportedly still owe part of Frenkie de Jong's salary.

Ousmane Dembélé is said to be the surprising top earner in Barcelona.
The Frenchman had extended his contract until 2024 after a long stalemate and is said to earn 16.16 million euros a year.
Second on the list is central defender Samuel Umtiti, who the Catalans are looking to ditch this summer.
Indebted FC Barcelona still pays millions in salaries
The established players Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba follow in third and fourth place, DFB keeper Marc-André ter Stegen reportedly earns 8.67 million euros (ninth place).
Hard to believe: Midfield star Pedri is given an annual salary of just under two million euros, although he is an integral part of the starting eleven.
Who earns how much?

Whether the numbers are true cannot be verified.
The fact that FC Barcelona has to save and that newcomers like Lewandowski cannot pay a horrendous salary is actually logical with a debt of 1.35 billion euros (own information from February).
But what is logical at FC Barcelona at the moment?
