Last week, founder Alex Chesterman confirmed the trend by announcing a “
comprehensive strategic review of the activities in continental Europe, in order to continue to reduce our consumption of cash
”.

Strategy based on sports marketing
After raising 1.6 billion dollars in 2021 on the New York Stock Exchange, the Briton wanted to develop by practicing an aggressive policy on sports marketing, appearing on many shirts on the continent (Valencia, Real Sociedad, Bologna, Fribourg) to gain notoriety.
In parallel with a plan of 750 layoffs announced in early June, the company could therefore review its activities elsewhere, and in particular in France.
“If Cazoo decided to withdraw from the French market, appearing on the jersey of OM and LOSC would no longer be of interest to him”,
explains the specialized daily.
A spokesperson for Cazoo, however, refuses to comment... for the moment: “
