The new offensive men give hope

– Sometimes something like this can move mountains.

For three games it was almost frustrating for the soccer players of SE Freising in the regional league south-east.

No points and sometimes crushing defeats.

Although, and those responsible were well aware of this, there is a lot of potential in the squad.

But at some point something like this can also develop into a downward spiral.

After at least getting the first point last weekend, things are looking a little better before the away match at the next relegated team, SV Pullach (Sat., 2 p.m.).

One counter will help the young Eintracht-Elf.

"Now we would do well to continue to improve on this performance", coach Flo Bittner did not want to overestimate the mini-success.

The Lerchenfelder are the only troupe in the southeast squadron without a threesome, that should change.

"For that we have to accept the fight more."

The new ones are well integrated

Good news: The body language against Wasserburg was completely different than in the first games.

Another piece of good news: The first appearances have also produced surprises, especially on the offensive, after the departure of goalgetter Andi Hohlenburger actually the problem child.

But the search for a successor doesn't seem to be going so badly.

Two late newcomers, of all people, have stood out: Alexander Eppink and, in particular, Christian Schmuckermeier.

The latter came from the district league, plays refreshingly and without shyness, was able to keep up with the state league level from the first minute.

"He impresses with his performance," praised Bittner again.

You can tell that Schmuckermeier is in the mood to show off his skills.

"In addition, he is totally humble and doesn't take off," says the coach happily.

Bad for Eintracht: Young Schmuckermeier will be absent on Saturday for personal reasons.

But a second, late addition established itself surprisingly quickly.

Alex Eppink has been in the starting XI in every game so far and repays the coach's trust with performance.

The 25-year-old from North Rhine-Westphalia came to the Isar with little match practice.

"But he learns something new in football in every training session and makes extreme progress, he's a huge asset," Bittner praises here too.

Eppink works and works with his physique in front.

And since last weekend, the first goal is still on the credit side.
