German champion for the 11th time?

That is FC Bayern's declared goal for the next Bundesliga season.

Old master Thomas Müller feels the pressure on the team and explains how things will go without Lewandowski.

Munich – Thomas Müller is getting ready for his 15th Bundesliga season.

The crowd favorite in the Bayern squad is an old hand and feels like he's been there forever.

But there is no question of boredom and habit with him, and so he sent a challenge to the competition before the start of the Bundesliga at Eintracht Frankfurt: “We want to continue to set the tone in Germany.

It's about getting that feeling of happiness from victory over and over again, and we just need a dose now," said the offensive player in an interview with FC Bayern.

Friday evening would be a good opportunity for this: Bayern open the new Bundesliga season at 8.30 p.m. in the game against Eintracht Frankfurt.

German champion against Europa League winner - an exciting constellation.

Last but not least, the eyes of the fans are focused on the duel between Mané and Götze, because both are newcomers to their clubs.

Müller also sees this start of the season as something special: “We have had a lot of new players.

In general, the end of the season wasn't so happy that everyone was super happy, especially after being eliminated from the Champions League.

That's why we have an extra pinch of motivation in our luggage.

You can feel that in the team and in the environment.”

FC Bayern without Lewandowski – Müller has a clear opinion on this

Much has been said and written recently about Robert Lewandowski's departure from Bayern.

Müller seemed to mourn him a little and said goodbye in a curious Instagram post.

And the fans are wondering how the departure will be compensated and what line-up coach Nagelsmann is relying on.

Müller doesn't worry too much about Bayern without Lewandowski: "It's a new situation for the whole team.

Lewy has been our fixture up center in recent years, scoring 50 goals or more each season.

But we got good replacements and other types of players too.

Our style of play is maybe a little different now.

Even if there probably won't be the one player who scores 50 goals, I think we can absorb that.

Bundesliga start: Bayern feel the pressure

Despite everything, the signs are not pointing to relaxation: "We are happy that things are starting again, but we also know that we will be under pressure to deliver what we want to show," said veteran Müller in an interview.

So Friday evening will be the first real test for the new FC Bayern.

The Munich team will have to do without Leon Goretzka and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting after injuries, as well as Kingsley Coman, who was suspended from the previous season.

The sick Manuel Neuer should be fit again for the game.
