Lenggrieser SC is looking forward to a match against TuS Holzkirchen II. The personnel situation is relaxed, the coach only has to improvise in goal.

Holzkirchen/Lenggries – At the start of the league of Lenggrieser SC, coach Stefan Simon looks at the list of his players with almost no worries.

Because the personnel situation before the first matchday, on which the LSC has to compete at TuS Holzkirchen II (Sunday, 2 p.m.), is also quite relaxed.

Simon only has to improvise in the goalkeeper position: Max Scheck will - as in the two friendlies against Eglfing and Benediktbeuern - look after the Lenggrieser box.

"Two more weeks," Simon estimates, "then Max Kleim should have recovered from his broken toe." Goalkeeping coach Stephan Merz has taken the former goal-getter under his wing and given him a crash course in terms of mastering the penalty area.

He does his job very well,” the coach observed.

Almost complete in final training

Otherwise, all players were eager and almost all in the final training session: "All players make a hot impression." Only Hias Gerg has to hold back a bit.

The midfielder is in rehab after tearing a syndesmosis ligament and Yasin Filiz will also be sidelined after recovering from illness and taking the police entrance exam.

Meanwhile, the storm duo is back on track: Jakob Gerg and Thomas Fischhaber have recovered from their minor injuries.

Coach Simon is looking forward to being compared to a "technically strong, young and dynamic team".

The LSC is the clear favourite.”

TuS II coach Florian Ächter

So that something is progressing in the state league reserve, the TuS managers have taken responsibility for Florian Ächter, the former A junior coach.

His mission: With four or five anchor players, including Michael Glatz, Leo Eichner and Drilon Shukaj, the playfully strong former A youth team should be introduced to men's football.

That worked quite well in the preparation.

In the five friendlies there were three wins, one draw and only one defeat.

However, with the exception of Fortuna Unterhaching (district league) all against lower-class opponents.

"We're on the right track," believes Ächter.

“The top priority is to stay up.

When we're complete, we definitely want to achieve something.” Ideally, on Sunday against Lenggries.

"The LSC is the clear favourite," said Ächter.

Lenggrieser SC:

Scheck - Biagini, Kreher, Angermeier, Mürnseer - Dix, Merklinger, L. Gerg, Mi. Gerg - Fischhaber, J. Gerg - Schnaderbeck, Freiberger, Demmel.
