The Handball Association is closely monitoring the security situation, just before the opening of the European Under-18 Handball Championship, which is supposed to start tomorrow at Shlomo Hall in Tel Aviv.
The union informed the competition manager of the European Union who is in Israel about what was happening, when he himself was not aware of the situation.
Currently, no change is expected in the plans and the games are supposed to take place as usual, as long as there is no ban on gatherings in Tel Aviv.
The union also does not intend to move the games north, to Haifa or to the new inbox hall in Hadera, due to logistical issues and the special surface already prepared in Tel Aviv.
In any case, some of the teams have already landed in Israel and some should arrive in the next day.
The championship is expected to last a week, with Israel's main goal being to win the championship and move up to the top tier.
