All three promoted teams were in action on Sunday in the 2nd Bundesliga - and achieved very different results: 1. FC Kaiserslautern is tied after a 2-0 (1-0) home win against FC St. Pauli Table leader Jahn Regensburg second in the lower house.

1. FC Magdeburg suffered a penalty in the 1:2 (1:1) home defeat against Holstein Kiel.

Eintracht Braunschweig also experienced a penalty kick against them, the polluter Jasmin Fejzić parried it – but the 0:1 (0:0) against SV Darmstadt 98 he could not prevent the Braunschweig goalkeeper.

It's probably too early to dream of progressing through to the Bundesliga, but 1. FC Kaiserslautern made an impressive start to the season.

The "Red Devils" took the lead early on against the guests from FC St. Pauli, who had superior control of the field: Ex-national player Erik Durm crossed from the right wing after a nice one-two combination, Terrence Boyd climbed the highest in the penalty area and headed the 1st goal with his second goal of the season: 0 (9th minute).

St. Pauli had to play the game now, but the Lauterers had better chances: Again Boyd hit the post from close range (66'), Kenny Prince Redondo (86') made the preliminary decision.

Jakov Medić's goal after a corner kick (88') came too late for St. Pauli.

With seven points from three games, Kaiserslautern is on a direct promotion place in the snapshot, but Jahn Regensburg remains the leader due to the better goal difference.

Holstein Kiel is also unbeaten in the current second division season.

After two draws at the start, the first win followed in Magdeburg: After a corner kick, Marco Komenda scored the lead (17th) against the promoted team, who played into an urgent phase shortly before the half-time break and received a well-deserved equalizer through Jason Ceka.

The game tipped again in favor of Kiel after the break when Jamie Lawrence, who had already been warned, came too late into a duel against Kiel's Steven Skrzybski in the penalty area.

The result: sending off, penalties and the renewed Kiel lead by Benedikt Pichler (59th), which brought the guests in the majority easily over time.

Eintracht Braunschweig were only a few minutes short of winning the first point of the season against Darmstadt.

He would not have deserved it: Darmstadt were clearly the better team and could have taken the lead with a penalty kick.

Jasmin Fejzić fouled Phillip Tietz.

However, the Braunschweig goalkeeper is considered a penalty specialist – and steered Tietz' attempt from the point to the post.

So it was up to Oscar Vilhelmsson to decide the game: The only 18-year-old Swede Fejzić lobbed the ball in the final minutes (86 ').

After three defeats from three games Braunschweig is on the last place in the table.
