Landesliga: SE Freising plays a rush and beats Bayernliga relegated SV Pullach 8-2 without such a result having been announced.
Freising
– What a game!
The footballers of SE Freising had not won for four games so far, on Saturday they almost tore apart SV Pullach in their 8-2 away win.
"The train has no brakes," the club quoted a popular hit on their Instagram page that same evening, and somehow they were right about that.
There was no stopping the away match in Pullach.
"We just did well today," said coach Flo Bittner afterwards, a little proud.
The gallop into the season has not been easy for the newly formed Freising squad, many imponderables paved the way.
Everything was right for the Bayernliga relegated team.
Freising dictated the match from the start, was clearly the better team and this time didn't let setbacks deter them.
Just a bang
Freising was ahead after just one minute, the coach himself nodded in a butter-soft cross from Fredi Rist (1st).
As a result, the guests missed the best opportunities, Felix Günzel in particular had the 2-0 on the slipper.
Pullach scored on the other side, Dominic Bacher netted with the help of the inside post (16').
But the SEF didn't let that deter them this time, just three minutes later Günzel (19th) restored the old gap.
And even before the exchange of sides, they followed up.
This time it was youngster Luka Brudtloff who headed in after a cross from Flo Schmuckermeier (41st).
After the change, the hosts initially closed the gap to 2:3 through Philip Kienz (50'), but this time the Eintracht men didn't let it bother them.
The Domstädter continued to dominate the ball and opponents, and then shot from all guns.
First, Felix Günzel refined a fine individual performance with the 4:2 preliminary decision (57th), before the game became a yellow-black marksman's festival.
Then fireworks
After a good hour, player-coach Flo Bittner pushed a cross from Luka Brudtloff over the line (61'), before Brudtloff himself benefited from a Schmuckermeier pass (64').
After Pullach had visibly given up at some point, Bittner again scored what is probably the highest SEF win in recent years after a Rist assist (70th) and Marcos Hones (86th).
"Of course we mustn't overestimate the result," explained coach Flo Bittner.
"However, you have to score eight goals against a former Bayern league club." Especially after the first rather mediocre SEF appearances, the win was balm for the soul.
