Timo Werner is very close to returning to RB Leipzig.
According to Bild am Sonntag
, the Chelsea striker is said to
have already reached an agreement with the Saxons.
Allegedly, the 27-year-old should not even be loaned out, but even firmly committed.

However, Oliver Mintzlaff did not want to confirm this on Sunday afternoon.

Werner is "certainly an interesting player", but also "still a Chelsea player", added Mintzlaff.
Coach Domenico Tedesco had previously emphasized in the Werner debate: "We have André Silva in front, who is doing very well.
We have Christopher Nkunku in front, we have Alexander Sörloth in front, who makes us more flexible.

Attacker moved to Chelsea in 2020 for 55 million
In 2020, Werner switched from RB to the Blues for around 55 million, but has not yet been able to assert himself at Stamford Bridge.
On Saturday evening at Chelsea's game at Everton, Werner was no longer in the squad.
The DFB attacker hopes that RB will return to the Bundesliga for more playing time and thus better chances for the 2022 World Cup, which will take place in Qatar in November.
Werner, who actually seemed set in the storm under national coach Hansi Flick, had recently hinted at a Chelsea farewell, as he had hardly played a role under Thomas Tuchel recently.
Without playing time, a place in the World Cup starting eleven would also be in danger for Werner – hence the return to RB Leipzig.
