The Automobile Club circuit in Maarat Sednaya in Damascus countryside witnessed strong competitions in the second phase of the MTN Syria Championship for speed and drift racing, which was held by the Syrian Automobile Club in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism.
The contestant Anas Qadri achieved the first place in the Special Production category in a time of 55.95 seconds, followed by the contestant Moaz Mahaini in a time of 57.3 seconds, then the contestant Ahmed Mahaini in a time of 59.80 seconds, and the contestant Ibrahim Zawit with a time of 1.00 17 seconds. The fifth place went to Muhannad Al-Ghussein in a time of 1.00 30 seconds.
The contestant Zaouet won the first place in the commercial production category with a time of 1.00 17 d, followed by the contestant Mazen Najjar in a time of 1.00 59 d, and then the contestant Rabih Zabadani with a time of 1.01 20 d.
Qadri won the 12th class cup, Najjar with the 8th class cup, Zawit with the 5th class cup, and Zaher Dahkul with the 1st class cup.
In the front drag category, Zawit won first place, followed by Najjar and Rabie Zabadani, while Diaa Qabas took the top spot in the Joe Speed category, then Muhammad Al Kassem and Muhammad Qabbani.
The second drifting race, which was held under floodlights, was topped by the contestant Mohamed Krizan with 341 points, followed by Ahmed Al-Najjar with 302 points, Ahmed Krizan with 277 points, then Maher Al-Fawal with 253 points, and the fifth place went to the rider Amr Hamsho with 240 points.
It is noteworthy that the race concluded with two cars in the circuit for the drifting champions, in addition to a special show by the Lebanese champion, George Fares.
