A rather serious and exciting case was revealed tonight (between Saturday and Sunday) in the German newspaper "Bild".
According to the initial news, Niko Schulz, defender of Borussia Dortmund, was accused of attacking his wife who was pregnant in those days.
A police complaint was filed against Schulz, who also made 12 appearances for the German national team, by his ex-partner who complained about seven cases of severe violence in 2020 - about two weeks before their daughter was born.
Among other things, she revealed conversations between them in March 2020, when among the messages you can also see photos in which she took pictures of herself hurt from the severe beatings she received and he in response sends her a selfie of himself making a sad face and writing that he is apologizing, which raises the suspicion that he did hurt her.
Also according to the publication in "Bild", one of the attacks was carried out only two weeks before she gave birth to their daughter and even added that at that time he kicked her in the stomach, apparently with the aim of harming the pregnancy.
It was also reported that Schultz contacted her and asked her to delete the correspondence between them in which he allegedly admits guilt, and that she received threats recently in an attempt to stop her from filing a complaint.
The player's lawyer denies the accusations and also Borussia Dortmund at this stage supports the player and in an official statement it published it reads: "We are not aware of the investigation that is being conducted against Niko Schultz as of writing these lines. Following the publication we will talk to the player regarding the serious allegations."
Schultz, it should be noted, is not in the plans of Borussia Dortmund and already a few weeks ago it was announced that he was asked to find a new team.
