Bavarian league: Hallbergmooser, who were weakened by replacements, lost 2-0 to the Löwen-Reserve and still sell quite respectably.
Hallbergmoos
– You were prepared to only be competitive to a limited extent that day.
That's why the 0:2 (0:0) defeat of VfB Hallbergmoos at TSV 1860 Munich II came as no surprise.
The Bavarian league team was able to keep up with their very last squad for half a period, but they couldn't do more than 90 minutes.
The Hallbergers had a substitute goalkeeper and two field players on the bench.
Coach Matthias Strohmaier was only pro forma on the smallest squad list in the Bayernliga.
"We knew before the game that we couldn't add anything that day," said Strohmaier later.
That's why it was about selling yourself as respectably as possible.
After all, leading players like Andreas Kostorz, Andreas Giglberger or Strohmaier were missing on the pitch, and they couldn't be replaced with their presence and as pacemakers.
At first with courage to move forward
In the first half hour, the Hallbergmooser played bravely, looking for salvation by fleeing forward.
They had three really good chances in the person of Moritz Mühlrath, Fabian Czech and Simon Werner.
A tour after half an hour would have been well deserved - that was the plan.
Strohmaier wanted to stress the young lions with a deficit.
After the change of sides, the Hallbergmooser had nothing more to oppose and also made the mistakes that ended up on the losing road.
At the first goal of the 60s by Noah Feil (51st), the guests were poorly organized and didn't really make it difficult for the opponent.
Then the second goal followed from a corner (75th) – at the same time the decision in this game.
Goals are too easy
Strohmaier was not annoyed about the goals and the defeat itself, but about the once again too simple development: "It happens too often that the opponent doesn't have to do anything special against us or play the chance.
In addition, three standard goals after five games are too many.” In the second half, the young lions were able to play the three points home safely, even after the lead even a lucky punch out of nowhere was almost unthinkable.
Physically and in terms of running, VfB couldn't hold their own against a team that is more likely to be in the top half of the league.
Immediately after the game, the focus was on the home game against SV Schalding-Heining, who had been relegated to the Regionalliga (Tuesday, 7:30 p.m.).
According to current water level reports, some players should return to the squad and make a more competitive VfB Hallbergmoos possible.
Strohmaier sees growing pressure, there is a risk of being passed to the bottom again in the English week.
You want to save yourself a catch-up hunt and a relegation this time.
