The Brazilian fighter, Alex Ferreira, who defeated the New Zealander in a kickboxing fight, will fight against the champion for the title of middleweight world champion • Adesanya: "It's going to look different"

Israel Adesanya, one of the most exciting and leading MMA fighters in the world, will meet the Brazilian Alex Pereira in November in New York for another fight to try to retain his middleweight title in the UFC, after the two signed the contract for the event.

Pereira, who joined the top organization in November 2021 after an impressive kickboxing career, has so far won all three fights he has participated in, and will look to become the first to beat Adesanya at middleweight.

The heads of the UFC, led by commissioner Dana White, actually applauded the Brazilian's success and know that the fight could be the biggest blockbuster of the year - as Ferreira is the only fighter who managed to beat Adesanya by knockout, it happened in a kickboxing fight in 2017.

The New Zealand world champion said before the fight: "I always wanted to fight the most dangerous and quality fighters, after he beat me in Brazil, I never had any plans to try to take revenge or anything like that. But again, I tell you, the universe arranged it perfectly. So yes, I'm going to do it differently this time."
