Robert Lewandowski's era at Bayern Munich is over.

After eight extremely successful years, the Pole has said goodbye to FC Barcelona.

The alternating theater lasted an entire summer and was nerve-wracking - for everyone involved.

In the end, however, a solution was found and the Pole's wish was met: At the end of his career, he can dare a new adventure.

Munich received around 45 million euros in compensation for this.

Robert Lewandowski is moving from FC Bayern Munich to FC Barcelona

In the past few weeks and months, there has been a lot of back and forth shooting, poisonous arrows regularly flew between Lewandowski and Bayern.

At the beginning of August, after the change had already taken place, Lewandowski returned to Säbener Straße to say a proper goodbye.

Ultimately, both sides emphasized that they parted on a friendly terms.

interview how important that was to him.

And that he also heard nice parting words from a very important man in the Bayern cosmos: Uli Hoeneß.

"He said he was always ready to listen to me and I could always call him if I needed anything," Lewandowski explained.

“That was very nice, he is a great personality and I am grateful to him, but also to all the other people on the board.

It was important to me that nothing negative should stick when we say goodbye.”
