Today, the Russian Daniil Medvedev retained the lead in the ranking of tennis professionals in the world for the eighth consecutive week, bringing it to the 12th week at the top of the world rankings as a whole, tied with German Boris Becker.

Medvedev was crowned his first title this year after winning the Mexican Los Cabos tournament on hard courts, ending a series of five defeats in a row in the final matches.

According to the new data of the world ranking of tennis players released today, Monday, German Alexander Zverev came in second place, followed by Spaniard Rafael Nadal in third place, then his compatriot Carlos Alcaras in fourth place, Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas in fifth place, Serbian Novak Djokovic in sixth place.

The Norwegian Kasper Rood comes in seventh, followed by the Russian Andrei Rublev in eighth, and Canadian Felix Auger Eliasim ninth.

According to the new classification, Poland's Hubert Hurkacz and Britain's Cameron Norrie advanced to the 10th and 11th places, respectively.

The duo, Hurkacs and Nouri, came at the expense of Italian Yannick Sener, who is down two places, after his decision this season not to participate in the Washington Games, which he won last year.
