The well-harmonized board of the LC Freising was re-elected at the annual general meeting.

In addition, a review of the past two years was carried out.

Freising

– In 2021, the annual general meeting of the Freising athletics club was cancelled.

This year, the meeting was able to take place as usual in the sports home of the SEF.

In addition to the elections for the board of directors, a review of the two pandemic years was on the program.

LC Freising: Sportwartin Marina Tomic the only new member on the board

The welcome by the chairman Andreas Pirkelmann was initially clouded by sad news: Hans Grund, a valuable founding member of the association, died in December.

A minute's silence was observed at the beginning of the meeting in his memory.

But there was also reason to be happy, because the dream team around the chairmen Andreas Pirkelmann and Oliver Pfluger, treasurer Susanne Pirkelmann and secretary Birgit Tenbrink is continuing.

They were confirmed in office for a further two years by the members present without a dissenting vote.

With Dieter Heimstädt, only the sports manager is leaving the board.

His successor is called Marina Tomic.

The annual review of the past two years was quickly ticked off from an event perspective - no events could take place due to corona.

The Freising dream team has already shown what it is capable of in its first year in office.

A fresh wind has been blowing on the Roider-Jackl-Weg since 2019 - the hosting of competitions such as the Upper Bavarian Championships brought life back to the Savoyer Au.

With a Christmas party at the end of the year, there was something for young and old.

No wonder there was an increase in membership.

LC Freising: Club is financially healthy even after the pandemic

From a sporting point of view, there was a lot on offer at the LC last year despite Corona.

Special thanks went not only to the trainers, who had made it possible for their motivated athletes to train under immense restrictions, but also to the supporting board members.

They provide active support with new acquisitions such as cupboards, starting blocks and gymnastics mats.

18 track and field athletes from the LAG qualified for the annual flower ceremony, which awards outstanding performance in competitions.

The cash auditors Helmut Weinzierl and Michaela Meindl also gave full praise for the cash management of the treasurer Susanne Pirkelmann.

“We have seen in the pandemic how important this is.

Many clubs have not been able to keep their heads above water financially in the past two years,” emphasized Weinzierl.

This year, the well-established management team wants to go on the offensive again and will start holding the famous folk festival in September.

A new sponsor for the competition jerseys is also to be landed for the coming season.

The LC demonstrates it: with the right team spirit, every challenge can also be fun.
