Another title for the trophy cabinet.
Real Madrid won the first European title of the season tonight (Wednesday), when they beat German Eintracht Frankfurt 0:2 in the European Super Cup final.
Tens of thousands of fans of both teams created a tremendous atmosphere at the Olympic Stadium in Helsinki, when another milestone was registered, when UEFA introduced the semi-automatic scorer system into use for the first time in a European game - which may shorten the decision-making times of the refereeing team.

Real Madrid started with the same team that beat Liverpool in the Champions League final a month ago, and looked better than the Germans.
Vinicius and Benzema got into good situations but were stopped by Trapp, and in the 37th minute a corner kick came from Casemiro's head to David Alaba - who came close to scoring a valuable goal.

In the second half, the trend continued - and although neither team really provided impressive football, the Spaniards dominated.
In the 65th minute, Benzema sent a kick outside the area, the ball slipped through the hands of Kevin Trapp and made it 0:2 for the European champions.

Although they didn't give up until the last moment and brought the newly acquired player - Mario Gotze - from the bench, Frankfurt was unable to equalize, and in the end, the most decorated team in Europe adds another trophy to the cupboard.
