Montenegrin defender Marco Tucci landed in Israel for medical tests at Hapoel Tel Aviv, in what may lead to a somewhat surprising signing.
The Reds did not hide at any stage of the summer their desire to strengthen the brake with a high floor rate, so the conclusion with Toči - about which was published in the Montenegrin media - can cause eyebrows to be raised.
The 23-year-old Tucci has so far only played in his homeland, where he wore the uniforms of Budochenost, Yazrow, P.K.
Podgorica and Dacic.
He made 63 appearances in the senior league and 54 appearances in the minor league and did not play for the youth teams of Montenegro.
On the face of it, his resume is not impressive - certainly not a player who can "initiate" young people like Stav Lemkin and Or Israelov.
But watching some of his video clips should worry Hapoel Tel Aviv fans much more than his resume.
It is important to say - Tucci is a tall and strong defender who wins many physical and aerial battles, plays aggressively and knows how to retrieve balls even at a distance of 20-30 meters from the goal.
On the other hand, watching him shows that he has difficulty moving the ball, suffers when the opponent presses and does not enjoy high technique.
His parade of mistakes includes quite a few passes to the opposing players, untimed glitches and missed balls in the box.
Perhaps Hapoel Tel Aviv feels that there is raw material here that can be developed and become a leading brake, but for that to happen, in the Khodorov complex they will have to work very hard and reward them for their mistakes.
